IPD created a web based document and engineering information Portal for their client LITE360. With staff all over the country, manufacturing based in China, and a vendor base from all over the world they needed a simple, graphical, secure, and instantly updatable way to share and distribute engineering information. This system is based on 2-D and 3-D Adobe Acrobat .pdf files, so anybody with password access to the site, and version 8 or above of the free Adobe Acrobat Viewer could work with the data.
The next several pages are just a few screen captures from the secure Portal, not the actual functional site, which contains propriatary data. The real Portal contains over 500 individual components, and over 150 sub-assembly 3-D files. At the end of this section you may try an actual 3-D pdf file of a mock reflector assembly design if you would like.
